Curried Okra with Onions

Ingredients:

1 pound Okra

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 sliced onion

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon ground turmeric

¼ teaspoon curry powder

Directions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large heavy non-stick or well-seasoned iron skilled.
  2. Add okra and fry for 10 minutes, turning frequently to keep from sticking.
  3. When the okra is lightly browned, add remaining ingredients.
  4. Continue to cook for an additional 3 minutes long, or until onions are tender.
