Fruit Pizza

Ingredients:

6 cups bran flakes (or frosted flakes)

½ cup margarine (or butter), softened

2 8-ounce packages light cream cheese, softened

1 7-ounce jar marshmallow crème

2-3 cups sliced fruit or berries

Whipped cream or whipped topping, optional

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325˚F.
  2. Place the bran flakes in a resealable plastic bag.  Seal the bag and using a rolling pin

crush the cereal to a medium crumb.  Open the bag and measure the crumbs; you

should have 2¼ cup.

  1. Combine the crumbs with the butter.  When blended, transfer to a 12-inch pizza pan and press the mixture into the pan in an even layer.
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until light golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely.
  3. Combine the cream cheese and marshmallow crème in a medium mixing bowl and

beat until very smooth.

  1. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.  Immediately arrange fruit

over the top in a decorative pattern and, if desired, garnish with dollops of whipped cream or topping.  Chill until firm, about 1 hour.  Cut into wedges and serve cold.

*Makes 12 slices.
