Squash Biscuits
Ingredients:
1 cup cooked winter squash, pureed
3 tablespoons soft margarine
2 tablespoons sugar
1 ½ cup all purpose flour
½ cup whole wheat flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- In a large bowl, combine squash, sugar, and margarine.
- Mix the dry ingredients in another bowl.
- Add the dry mixture to the squash mixture and stir just until they make a dough.
- Roll the dough out on a floured board to about ½ inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits with a floured biscuit cutter and place on a greased baking sheet. (Brush tops with additional margarine if desired.)
- Bake about 20 minutes until tops are lightly browned.
